We’ve been ordering Domino’s from this West Alabama location in Houston for at least six months—roughly once a week. Until recently, it was consistently reliable. The last two orders were not. • The pizza was excessively oily • Not properly sliced • Undercooked • Missing ingredients Ironically, these issues happened the only two times we chose pickup instead of delivery. The in-store experience was worse. The staff was openly overwhelmed and dismissive. No greeting. No acknowledgment and the worst attitude. Seven customers stood waiting without a single employee addressing the room. I had to approach someone who told me he was “just a delivery driver” to get any response at all, and even then the interaction felt rushed and rude while I waited 15 mins for a ready order waiting on the shelf. What stood out most was the lack of cleanliness and order. From the open kitchen, we could clearly see trash boxes stacked next to boxes of ready-to-go pizzas. Staff don’t know how to even cut a pizza properly ( see image). That alone is alarming and frankly insulting to the Domino’s brand. I don’t know if this is due to a recent change in management or a general disregard for customer experience and untrained staff but something has clearly slipped. This location needs immediate attention if not a total shut down.

Went yesterday to get my daughter her favorite pizza, whomever is making them are doing a horrible job. I ordered New York style, they gave me a 20 lb heavy pizza 🍕 bread was so thick, sloppy, flavorless and just looked awful. Please train that person, I think a lady made it. Date. 1/13/26 around 1:30 pm. First time I get my order made like this. Such an awful experience. Kids didn’t eat it. Waste of money.

I had a disappointing experience at Domino’s. The manager, Illan, came to the register eating ice cream while helping customers, which already felt unprofessional. There was a new employee working who clearly didn’t know the system or how to make the pizza, and instead of properly training him, the manager was calling out ingredient measurements from the back while still holding the ice cream. I asked for the pizza sauce they’ve been advertising on the side, and later the manager corrected me saying it was called “Slice Sauce.” I didn’t know the exact name, but it was obvious what I meant. The order total originally came to around $14, but the new employee couldn’t get the payment to process correctly and had to keep asking the manager for help. After already paying, I was then told I still owed an additional $2.27 because of a mistake on their end. At that point, I felt the business should have simply honored the mistake instead of making me go through multiple payments for something caused internally. I still paid it, but the overall experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the new employee also didn’t know how to prepare the pizza, and the manager had to coach him through the entire process in front of customers. I understand training new staff takes time, but management should still maintain professionalism and customer service standards. Domino’s needs to do better with training, communication, and customer service. Customers should not feel inconvenienced because of employee or management errors.

A Positive Experience Worth Sharing I think a lot of people only come online to leave reviews when something goes wrong, so I wanted to take a moment to highlight something that went right. I brought an issue to Alex, the manager, and without going into too much detail, I’ll just say he handled it exceptionally well. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved, and he did so with kindness, patience, and genuine care. In a time where empathy can sometimes feel rare, Alex really stood out. He made the entire experience feel easy and human, and I left feeling genuinely appreciated as a customer. Grateful for the positive experience—thank you, Alex.

I ordered pizza on 08/09 and specifically requested it to be well-done. Unfortunately, it arrived undercooked. I immediately called and spoke with a manager, who assured me that a credit would be applied to my account as a result of the mistake. When I called today to use that credit, I was told no credit exists on my account and that any credits issued ‘expire within two weeks.’ Not only was I unable to redeem the credit, but I was also never informed of such an expiration policy. For me, this isn’t about the money—it’s about the principle. A commitment was made and not honored, and that reflects poorly on the store’s integrity and customer service. I’m sharing this so others are aware: if you’re ever issued a credit, make sure you get written confirmation or use it immediately. Customers deserve transparency and consistency, not empty promises.
